Order Confirmation and Payment
To confirm an order Humdingers Cakes requires a deposit to be paid. This can be paid directly into Humdingers Cakes bank account: 38-9025-0485818-00
Please use your name and date of event as reference. Your order is confirmed when deposit is received.
Balance of payment is required prior or upon pick up of your cake – your cake will NOT be delivered or allowed to be picked up from the store if the balance is not paid. (Unless arrangements have been made prior for the full payment).
Order Collection and Delivery:
Upon collection of your order, the customer assumes full responsibility for transportation of the goods. We are unable to offer compensation for any damage incurred during or after transit. While we offer advice on the best methods for transporting products, it remains the customer’s responsibility to transport, store and serve items.
Cancellation for customised orders policy
Up to 14 Days Before Pickup/Delivery: Full refund of the deposit is available.
Within 14 Days and up to 7 days before Pickup/Delivery: A refund is no longer available, however, store credit to the value of the deposit will be given.
Within 7 days of Pickup/Delivery: No refund or store credit is available as our team has already dedicated time managing your order. Our custom cake production schedule operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and your cancellation may result in an empty slot that could have accommodated another customer.
Cake Quality Assurance and Resolution Policy
Our bakery is dedicated to delivering cakes of the highest quality. We understand that, on rare occasions, there may be issues with the finished product. To ensure our customers are always satisfied, we’ve established the following policy for handling quality concerns:
Every cake we produce is made with care and attention to detail. We use fresh, high-quality ingredients and apply rigorous standards to ensure all cakes meet our expectations before leaving our bakery.
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a cake, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. We encourage you to provide details, including photos if possible, so we can better understand the issue.
Minor Issues: For small quality concerns, such as decoration discrepancies or minor flavour adjustments, we may offer a partial refund, discount on a future order, or in some cases, a repair of the product (when feasible).
Major Quality Issues: If the quality issue significantly impacts the cake’s taste, appearance, or structural integrity, we may offer compensation or offer store credit for a future cake; providing the return of any uneaten cake for assessment.
We are unable to provide refunds or replacements for issues arising from customer mishandling after pickup or delivery. Please follow our provided storage and care instructions to ensure your cake remains in optimal condition.
Custom designs are subject to interpretation and may vary slightly from inspiration pictures.
We value our relationship with each customer and strive to make every experience a positive one. Our team is committed to making things right, and we’ll work with you to reach a satisfactory resolution whenever possible.
Force Majeure Clause
Humdingers Cakes shall NOT be held liable for failure to fulfill orders or obligations due to events beyond reasonable control. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, fires), pandemics, government-imposed restrictions, power outages, supply chain disruptions, labour strikes, or any other unforeseen circumstances that prevent normal business operations. In the event of such an occurrence, Humdingers Cakes will make every reasonable effort to inform clients promptly and fulfill obligations as soon as possible once conditions allow.
Allergy
Please be aware that we are NOT an allergy specialised kitchen and all of our products may contain traces of allergens including but not limited to gluten, eggs, milk, nuts, soy, and alcohol.
Photography Policy
Humdingers Cakes reserves the right to take photos of their work and use them for advertising purposes. The photo may be used in advertising and on social media (but will only be used after the event has taken place).
Privacy Policy
Humdingers Cakes respects the privacy rights of its online visitors and understands the need to protect information collected about them. We only process personal data provided to us in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 1993 and other applicable privacy laws.
Humdingers Cakes collects personal information from you including your name, e-mail address, delivery address, telephone number, and any product selections. These details allow us to process your orders.
