Our Story

Meet The Humdingers Team

Run by the mother-daughter duo Tania and Mary, Humdingers Cakes brings generations of great craft to our baking. Mum is a fully trained and qualified Level 4 craft baker, while Daughter was completing her baking apprenticeship before they decided to buy Humdingers together.

We are an entire family team comprising of three full-timers and one part-timer. When we’re not baking mouthwatering delights, you’ll find us enjoying family barbecues, holidays, and time outdoors. We also participate together in community events like Relay For Life.

As a tight-knit team, we believe nothing beats the taste of baked goods made with family love. That’s the Humdingers secret!

Tania

As our head cake decorator, Tania transforms wild imaginations into edible masterpieces—no magic wand required! With years of experience as a craft baker and decorator, she dedicates countless hours to perfecting each cake, ensuring it’s just right for your special occasion. When she’s not frosting fantastical creations, you might catch her perfecting her secret buttercream recipe (hint: it’s all in the love!).

Mary

As our head baker, Mary is the brilliant mind behind our scrumptious cakes and delightful creations! With a passion for creating everything from classic layer cakes to innovative flavour combinations, she ensures that each slice is a taste of perfection. Mary blends artistry with baking science, always ready to whip up something extraordinary (just don’t mention her “experimental” cake phase!). When she’s not in the kitchen, you can find her sharing her favourite baking tips or sneaking in a slice of cake for herself—quality control, after all!

Danielle

As our reigning Cupcake Queen, Danielle brings a sprinkle of joy to every batch she creates! With her eye for detail and a passion for flavour, she crafts delightful cupcakes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Danielle believes that every cupcake deserves a crown, and she dedicates her time to ensuring each one is a mini masterpiece. When she’s not busy decorating, you can find her dreaming up new flavour combos or planning the next cupcake showdown among her colleagues!

Judith

Meet Judith, our Slice Mastermind! With a knack for creating beautiful and flavorful slices, she knows how to make every bite a delightful experience. Whether it’s a rich chocolate brownie or a zesty lemon bar, Judith’s creations are nothing short of scrumptious. She pours her heart into each slice, ensuring that every piece is a perfect balance of taste and texture. When she’s not in the kitchen, you might find her plotting her next baking adventure or taste-testing every new dessert on the menu (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!)
